ALMOST EUR 19 M ALLOCATED TO STANDBY EU INVESTMENT PROJECTS

Ministry of economics and innovation allocated additional almost EUR 19 m EU funding to Eco-innovations LT+ and Industry Digitization LT standby projects.

„For both projects demand was higher than amounts allocated. We received number of good and innovative applications. Additional funding for standby projects comes from reallocations from other projects and savings“, – says vice minister of economics and innovation Jovita Neliupšienė.
 
EUR 11.2 m goes to 20 Eco-innovations LT+ projects, and EUR 7.5 m to 22 Industry digitization LT standby projects.  
 
Eco-innovations LT+ project deals with implementation of sustainable technological eco innovations. With this investment Lithuanian companies will be able to implement technological processes which reduce negative environmental impact, save natural resources, acquire equipment, manufacture resources saving produce and provide environmental friendly services. 

Industry Digitization LT project helps industrial companies to assess the needs to digitize production more efficiently and based on technology audit to install equipment, which would increase productivity. With the help of the project companies plan to implement various digital technologies: enterprise resource planning systems, robotics, manufacturing execution systems, smart sensors and controllers, as well as 3D printing, cloud computing, internet of things and artificial intelligence solutions.
