MORE THAN EUR 16 M GO TO AFFECTED BUSINESSES

Until February 8th  EUR 12 m subsidies were paid to 5704 companies affected by quarantine restrictions. 89 companies received EUR 4.4 m in easy loans.
 
„We are putting all efforts that support reaches businesses as fast as possible. First part of subsidies is paid just 8 days after start of the undertaking, the second will reach businesses today. We hope to increase the pace even more“, – says vice minister of economics and innovation Vincas Jurgutis.
 
Lists of companies are being made and funds being transferred every week, companies that fill all necessary papers get money in one week. Maximum term – 38 days – is used just in cases when there are questions about information provided by the company.
 
Companies which experienced turnover reduction of 30 % and more are eligible for one time subsidy ranging from EUR 500 to 800,000.  Companies, which paid more than EUR 2,000 of personal income tax in 2019 are eligible for subsidy of 25 % of the amount paid, other companies get EUR 500.  
 
Currently ministry of economics and innovation works on second business support package amounting to EUR 150 m.
