MORE THAN EUR 20 M EU INVESTMENT INTO SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGICAL ECO INNOVATIONS PROJECTS
Ministry of economics and innovation has allocated EUR 21.28 m from EU investment project Eco-Innovations LT+ to finance 27 projects by very small, small and medium companies to implement sustainable technological eco innovations. With this investment Lithuanian companies will be able to implement technological processes which reduce negative environmental impact, save natural resources, acquire equipment, manufacture resources saving produce and provide environmental friendly services.
„Project Eco-Innovations LT+ proved to be popular among Lithuanian businesses, amount of requested funding was significantly larger than number foreseen in a call. It demonstrates that Lithuanian SMEs are ready to invest into new or significantly improved produce, services or technological processes which reduce pollution and saves environment“, – claims vice minister of economics and innovation Jekaterina Rojaka.
47 applications turned out to be eligible after evalution, but just 27 will receive funding because of high demand. 20 projects asking for EUR 11 m financing were put on waiting list.
