THE GUIDE DAY IS COMING: PART OF TOURISM PROJECTS CONTINUE
On February 21 world celebrates international guide day. Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LVPA) reminds that when pandemic is over travellers are going to have number of new opportunities. Even in lockdown tourism projects are being implemented.
Tourism is one of EU investment directions implemented by LVPA clients. During financial perspective of 2014–2020 LVPA financed projects worth EUR 27 m, amount of EU subsidies reached EUR 25 m.
„Our projects are related with marking of tourist places, marketing domestically and abroad. When it seems that tourism has stopped, our projects are going on. We are waiting until we get more freedom to move, and travellers can experience what is being created“, – claims LVPA director Aurimas Želvys.
Head of LVPA public investment projects unit Kristina Dėjė admits a slow down of e-marketing activities in tourism projects, as well as number of tours. Companies have postponed planned activities until travelling is allowed.
