WHAT KIND OF INVESTMENT BUSINESS SHOULD PLAN FOR 2021 AND BEYOND?
Currently still under preparation, but soon new calls for EU investment projects, aimed at helping businesses to deal with challenges of pandemic, are to be announced.
In 2020 project named E-business Model was in demand by businesses. LVPA director Aurimas Želvys noted, that the project has been adjusted and now becomes E-commerce Model COVID-19.
„We expect a call for project E-commerce Model COVID-19, aimed at helping small and medium companies to introduce e-commerce models in order to re-orient its business processes, to digitize them and concentrate in e-commerce, to be announced in coming months. The amount of assistance is set at EUR 40 m“, – claims A. Želvys.
He said, that in addition to e-shops platforms, project will also fund integration of resource management systems into e-trade/rental platforms and orders management solutions.
Also ministry of economics and innovation plans a call for project Creative Cheques COVID-19. The project is similar to Design LT which is already familiar to businesses and helps companies to create original product solutions, oriented at products or services design to be provided by cultural and creative industries, helping them to cover losses incured because of pandemic.
Speaking about EU recovery and resilience facility, it is expected to finalize programming of 2021-2027 financial perspective in the middle of this year, first calls are to be announced in the beginning of next year.
„Priority investment directions remain clear – R&D, innovation, digitization, circular economy and renewables. Also it is important to use the lessons learned renewing intersectoral smart specialization priorities“, – emphasized A. Želvys.
