APPLICATIONS TO IMPLEMENT ECO INNOVATIONS EVALUATED: EUR 32,5 M EU INVESTMENT REQUESTED

Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LVPA) has evaluated applications by country‘s companies for EUR 32.5 m Eco-Innovations LT+  project funding. Applications were submitted to ministry of economics and innovation for funding approval.

The project taking place for the fourth time is aimed at promoting very small, small and medium companies to implement technological eco innovations, reducing negative consequences of climate warming. Companies will invest into equipment and technologies enabling innovations for cleaner manufacturing.

„This is one of most popular projects, adminstered by LVPA, it echoes EU green direction aims and promotes climate neutral, modern and energy saving economy. Project budget is EUR 22 m, companies are eligible for funding from EUR 50,000 up to 1.5 m. After evaluation it turns out that there is a budget for 27 applications“, – says LVPA director Aurimas Želvys.

During the projects of Eco-Innovations LT+ a technological process that reduces negative environmental impact or saves natural resouces has to be implemented, project also finances production or provision of services which save natural resources.

„After evaluating applications we see that most of the companies have chosen to invest in manufacturing, and just two decided to go for implementation of technological processes. Three applications aim at both process and product“, – comments LVPA vedėja Gintarė Kuncaitytė, head of LVPA business promotion projects unit.
