CHANGE2TWIN SUPPORT FOR MANUFACTURING COMPANIES WITH INNOVATION POTENTIAL

To increase innovation development and international cooperation opportunities for Lithuanian companies, Innovation Agency Lithuania encourages Lithuanian manufacturing companies to take advantage of various innovation financing opportunities. One of them is the call for applications for the EU-funded Change2Twin project, which will start on 30 June and will provide up to EUR 10,000 for the analysis of a company’s level of digitisation and the preparation for the implementation of digital twin solutions.

This support instrument will be open to manufacturing companies of all sizes that wish to use digital equivalents for their business processes or equipment in the future. Selected companies will be required to use the financial contribution to work with one of the 38 certified digital innovation hubs (DIHs) in partnership with the project. Beneficiary companies will be eligible for the second phase of the programme in 2023 and will receive up to EUR 90,000 for the development and deployment of the envisaged technologies.

Digital twins are IT tools that allow production processes, devices, systems or elements to be digitised by creating an interface between a real solution and its virtual counterpart. These technologies are used for monitoring, analysis, modelling, fault prevention and other functions.

The call for support for the digitisation potential assessment will be open from 30 June to 22 September 2022. Small and medium-sized enterprises based in the European Union will be invited to apply. Detailed application instructions will be published on 30 June on the following website: https://www.change2twin.eu/open-calls/assessment-voucher/
Last year, 19 European companies received support from Change2Twin including companies in the food, textiles, metal, transport and other manufacturing industries.

The Change2Twin project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and is part of the I4MS programme to develop the innovation potential of SMEs in the manufacturing industry. Change2Twin aims to contribute to the digitisation of industrial SMEs, to foster collaboration with DIHs and to create an ecosystem of digital twin solutions that allow companies to benefit from existing solutions.
