EU SUPPORT FOR TECHNOLOGIES ENSURING INTEGRATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

‘More than 8,000 people have installed solar panels on the roofs of their homes in the last two years alone. In Lithuania, residents of individual houses and apartment buildings can also receive state support for installing solar panels, which helps them save 35-40% of the cost of installing them,’ says Algirdas Vaidotas, Head of Project Risk Prevention Centre of the LBSA.

By presenting the possibilities to benefit from EU Structural Funds and the projects developed by the LBSA, Vaidotas, together with Dr Virginijus Radziukynas, Head of the Smart Grids and Renewable Energy Laboratory at the Lithuanian Energy Institute, invites everyone to a webinar on green energy.

The interest of the population in solar energy in Lithuania is growing. Wind farms are expanding every year, solid biofuels and heat pumps also have a great potential for renewable energy. Dr Virginijus Radziukynas talks about energy storage systems, organic flow batteries, smart grids and ecosystems for energy storage.

Today at 14:00 we invite the enthusiasts of renewable energy development to join the LBSA’s account on the YouTube channel.
