„We wanted to be very fast, seeng the speed of production as one of biggest potential competitive advantages“, – says Gediminas Ziberkas, director of Kaunas based printing house Ad markers. A printing house with 12 employees has just implemented digitization project worth EUR 2.4 m. Company already started a new eco innovation project to get ready for changes in printing business.

EU investment digitization project Ad markers implemented one year ahead of schedule, they received maximum available EU funding of EUR 1 m from Industry Digitization LT project administered by Lithuanian Bussiness Support Agency (LVPA). The project helped to simplify and speed up production processes of the printing house. New equipment allows to save on labour costs and to achieve a enormous speed of printing.

„Sometimes work, which used to take four days, now is done four minutes“ – explains Mr Ziberkas.

Also digital equipment lets company work with small orders, which was not possible earlier, and we can offer more competitive prices.

After implementing digital equipment, Ad markers already started new EU investment with LVPA  administered Eco-innovations LT+. Project cost is EUR 3.5 m, form this amount 1.5 m is EU financing for new eco innovation equipment. This will allow to produce single use paper cups.
„Food packaging one of our priorities. We already use materials, certified for contact with food. New project and equipment will help us to advance in food safety“, – tells Mr Ziberkas.
