IT DOESN'T SLOW DOWN
For more than 25 years, LT Technologies has been manufacturing furniture components, medical and commercial equipment, and other products. It is one of the leading companies in the field of precision metal pipe processing, undertaking all metal pipe and sheet metal processing. Production is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the quality management system ISO 9001:2008.
The company expands its production areas, innovates and updates technical solutions every year. Particular attention is draw to product quality and timely product delivery, so the company is constantly growing and creating significant added value for its customers. The company is successfully implementing projects under the European Union Funds Investment Action Programme to increase productivity, improve environmental performance and the quality of its products, and increase productivity and profitability.
During the project ‘Digitisation of LT Technologies Production Processes’, the company’s technological digitisation audit was performed, which provided recommendations on how to improve the company’s production efficiency. One of the measures recommended by the audit was the installation of robotic devices.
In 2020–2021, the company completed an investment project to digitise its production. According to the agreement with the Innovation Agency* (formerly the Lithuanian Business Support Agency), EUR 107,211.98 of the European Regional Development Fund investments was used to increase the overall efficiency of the company’s operations. The company has installed efficient, digitised, new-model modern and high-performance robotic production equipment.
Currently, the project ‘Implementation of Technological Eco-Innovations in UAB LT Technologies’ is being implemented with the support of the ‘Eco-innovations LT+’ (Eco-inovacijos LT+) measure. The total value of the project is EUR 756,080, with EUR 261,080 allocated from the European Regional Development Fund. ‘We are working hard and we are not stopping even in these turbulent times, when raw materials and energy resources are becoming more expensive. European Union support is very important and while using it we can meet the needs of even the most demanding customers from Sweden and Germany. The technological equipment acquired during the project will reduce the environmental impact of the company’s business activities. The manufacture of two products will be resumed, the amount of raw materials used will be reduced, less energy will be consumed, and we will give up the use of harmful raw materials such as oil and lubricants during production’, says Vytautas Venskauskas, the company’s technical manager.
The project will result in a more economical use of basic raw materials, the elimination of polluting auxiliary raw materials and faster processing. The equipment installed will contribute to more rational production and waste reduction principles, energy savings and reduction of the greenhouse effect.
‘We have already launched the ‘Eco-innovations LT+’ call for proposals four times to encourage micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to introduce technological eco-innovations and in this way to reduce the negative effects of climate change and the greenhouse effect. The number of companies receiving subsidies under this measure has already reached 157, almost half a dozen technological eco-innovations have been implemented and the number will increase in the future’, says Agnė Vaitkūnienė, Director of Investment Management Service and Acting Director of the Innovation Agency.
