LBSA NEWS AND A NEW INFORMATION CHANNEL

The social network icon block on the home page of the Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LBSA) website has been supplemented by an orange icon with three letters – RSS.

This means that from now on, you can follow all LBSA news, as well as information about newly published calls or proposed information events. This is useful for those who want to apply or are already implementing projects with the help of RSS technology, without having to visit the website.

You’ll see the title of the article, a short description and the date of publication on your phone or other mobile device. If you are interested in the news, you can use the link here to view the full text. It is possible to connect to both Lithuanian and English RSS feeds for LBSA news.

‘The Lithuanian Business Support Agency is constantly increasing the dissemination of information about new funding calls, administered measures and companies that have successfully benefited from EU support’, says Saulius Merkys, Acting Director of the LBSA, ‘We are also trying to be forward thinking by promoting innovation so nowadays, potential and existing clients can read and watch us not only on our website, Facebook and YouTube social networks, but also hear us on a SoundCloud platform or podcast apps’.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of XML file formats for collecting data from news feeds. The idea of structuring information was pioneered by Ramanathan V. Guha and others in the Apple Advanced Technology Group in 1995. The first version of RSS was introduced in 1999. Today, RSS technology is supported by a number of news portals abroad and in Lithuania.
