MORE COMPANIES OF DIFFERENT SIZES WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR COVID-19 SECOND WAVE IMPACT ASSISTANCE FROM NOW ON

Government has supported changes to concept and criteria of COVID-19 subsidies suggested by ministry of economics and innovation. Companies with more than 250 employees will be eligible too.

„The amount of EUR 150 m is allocated for subsidies from the state budget, and we put efforts that this package aimed mainly at small and medium companies reaches its recipients as fast as possible. It is expected that companies can apply in the first half of January. We are not in a position to waist time, we constantly communicate with social partners and hear their request to provide real finacial support to as many affected companies as possible,“– says minister of economics and innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė.

When government approves the final package, companies with more than 250 employees,  with less than EUR 50 m turnover in 2019, or less than EUR 43 m book value as of December 31, 2019, become eligible as well. Another eligibility criteria – fall of annual turnover by no less than 30% during the period of November 1, 2020 – January 31, 2021, vs the same period in 2019-20.
Companies working in all sectors except agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture and finance are eligible.
