NINETEEN COMPANIES OF THE COUNTRY WILL LOOK FOR NEW MARKETS BY CERTIFYING THEIR PRODUCTS

Domestic companies are encouraged to look for new markets or replace risky ones. For the certification of products to be exported, EUR 804,000 in funding under the European Union investment instrument ‘Expo Certificate LT’ was allocated to 19 companies.
The Innovation Agency evaluated a total of 48 applications received during the call period.
‘This instrument will be particularly useful for companies looking for opportunities to expand or reorient their export geography. In addition, by certifying their products, it will also be easier for businesses that are just starting to think about new routes abroad to establish themselves in foreign markets’, said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of Economy and Innovation.
Non-refundable subsidies ranging from EUR 9,000 to EUR 74,000 have been allocated to companies that have decided to certify their production. They will be able to use the funding to certify the products they plan to export, including performing the necessary testing and research.
Twelve companies that have received funding are located in Vilnius county, four in Kaunas county, and one each in Klaipėda, Marijampolė and Telšiai counties. As many as 10 of the 19 companies receiving funding are using the measure for the first time.
During the implementation of the projects, it is planned to certify 156 different products produced by the same applicant. The products to be certified include solar modules, transport control devices and equipment, healthcare solutions, food supplements, fertilisers, windows and doors.
