TRAINING PROVIDED TO POTENTIAL APPLICANTS FOR CCI MEASURES

Representatives of cultural and creative industries (CCIs) attended a detailed presentation about two EU funding instruments in this area during distance training, organised by the Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LBSA). About 200 questions were received during the event.

During the training, which lasted several hours, the LBSA specialists explained the requirements of the descriptions of measures ‘Incentives to Improve the Infrastructure of Enterprises of Cultural and Creative Industries’ and ‘Incentives to Develop Competitive Cultural Products for the Cultural and Creative Industries Sector’, and provided practical examples of preparing applications.

The requirements for the measure ‘Incentives to Improve the Infrastructure of Enterprises of Cultural and Creative Industries’, its objectives and supported activities, requirements for the applicant, the project, financing and eligible costs, benefit and quality assessment, the required documents and how to submit them were discussed by Ingrida Juozulynaitė, Chief Project Manager of Business Sustainability Projects Division of the LBSA.

Vilma Bukauskaitė, Chief Project Manager of Business Sustainability Projects Division, introduced the objectives of the measure ‘Incentives to Develop Competitive Cultural Products for the Cultural and Creative Industries Sector’ to potential applicants. She explained the supported activities, requirements for applicants and the project, calculations of the monitoring indicators, duration of the project implementation, subtleties of financing, evaluation and documents to be submitted.

Sandra Gylienė, Senior Advisor of the Project Finance Group, explained the fixed amounts used for the same measure. She presented the types of costs eligible for financing according to the flat rates, the flat rates for the salaries of the staff implementing the projects of private legal entities and the participants, the flat rates for research trips and accommodation in Lithuania, and certificates and how to complete them correctly.

The state aid requirements applicable to both measures were presented by Gytis Petrukaitis, Advisor to the Project Expert Group. He spoke about the legal basis for the aid, the ineligible activities, what constitutes a company in difficulty, the associated and partner companies, how the eligible costs are calculated and similar topics.

The LBSA reminds potential applicants that applications for funding under the measure ‘Incentives to Develop Competitive Cultural Projects for the Cultural and Creative Industries Sector’ will be accepted until 21 February, and under the measure ‘Incentives to Improve the Infrastructure of Enterprises of Cultural and Creative Industries’ until 28 March.
